Darina Allen
is Ireland’s best-known food ambassador and runs the world-renowned cookery school at Ballymaloe, Ireland.


She is the author of Irish Traditional Cooking, Easy Entertaining, Healthy Gluten-free Eating and most recently, Forgotten Skills of Cooking, which won the prestigious André Simon Award.


Darina founded the first Farmers' Markets in Ireland and is a tireless campaigner for local produce. She is a natural teacher, whose enthusiasm and energy for good things is quite contagious.
